Issued internally by Loud Records, this annotated song list documents the evolving track lineup for Xzibit’s sophomore album 40 Days and 40 Nights, dated January 12, 1998. The sheet includes a printed listing of confirmed and in-progress songs, producers (including E-Swift, Bud'da, Mel-Man, and Organized Noize), and guest appearances from artists like King T, Defari, Ras Kass, and Outkast. Xzibit’s handwritten annotations and doodles cover both sides, with edits, additional track notes, contact info, and spontaneous sketches reflecting a moment deep in the creative process.


Released later that year, 40 Days and 40 Nights marked a major leap forward for Xzibit, establishing him as a central figure in West Coast lyricism. The album balanced introspection with aggression and featured standout singles like “What U See Is What U Get.” It was widely praised for its mature writing, dense production, and cohesion—solidifying his position among hip-hop’s elite prior to his future collaborations with Dr. Dre and the Alkaholiks.
