Before supergroups were a marketing play, the Golden State Warriors were a raw experiment in West Coast lyricism. Xzibit, Ras Kass, and Saafir—three distinct voices with underground credibility—came together under that name in the late ’90s and early 2000s, teasing a full-length project that never saw official release.


This cassette contains a studio version of “Heat,” one of their standout tracks, produced by Stu-B-Doo, whose work helped shape the sound of Northern California rap in that era. Hand-labeled and housed in a TDK Pro multitrack master case, this tape likely served as a working copy passed between artists and engineers.
