Baseball’s Fall Classic has always carried a special aura, and this 1999 World Series silver coin reflects Major League Baseball’s tradition of commemorating the game’s biggest stage. Struck from one troy ounce of .999 pure silver, this limited-edition piece was one of just 400 issued. The front displays the official 1999 World Series logo, while the reverse features the World Series trophy flanked by the emblems of the American and National Leagues. Numbered “85/400,” this coin is presented in its original protective case and box, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Though the Padres did not reach the Series that year, Tony Gwynn’s personal collection included this rare MLB-issued commemorative, a testament to his lifelong appreciation for the game’s history and its most celebrated stage.
