Description

Created from a direct life-cast of Tony Gwynn's hands gripping a genuine Louisville Slugger bat, this limited edition sculpture preserves the exact batting grip of one of baseball's greatest contact hitters. Rather than serving as an artistic interpretation, it captures the physical grip that became synonymous with Gwynn's remarkable bat control and consistency at the plate.

Over a 20-year Major League career, Gwynn collected 3,141 hits, won eight National League batting titles, and finished with a .338 lifetime batting average. Even more remarkable, he struck out only 434 times during his career, making his hands a lasting symbol of precision, discipline, and one of the greatest contact-hitting approaches the game has ever seen.

Mounted on a walnut home plate-shaped base engraved with Gwynn's signature, this example is numbered 19 of only 30 produced. The edition number matches Gwynn's iconic uniform number, adding another layer of significance to a piece that preserves the most recognizable tool behind his Hall of Fame legacy.

Condition may vary slightly from photos, with unique marks that highlight the item's authenticity as a career artifact.

This item features a Silver OVD, indicating that a TRuEST™ authenticator was not on-site to witness its creation. However, its provenance is verified through the Tony Gwynn Estate, ensuring its authenticity.
