Embroidered 1999–2000 North County Times All-North County Team patch from Tony Gwynn’s estate. The North County Times served as a major San Diego regional newspaper until its merger in the early 2010s, and its annual All-North County selections recognized standout prep athletes across multiple sports.

Gwynn’s lifelong connection to San Diego and his later role as a mentor and coach at San Diego State University highlight why local athletic honors such as this patch were preserved among his keepsakes. It reflects his commitment to celebrating athletic excellence across all levels of the game, from professional baseball to the high school fields of his community.
