Awarded to DJ Yella, this framed Billboard plaque recognizes the chart-topping debut of Eazy-E’s 1993 EP It’s On (Dr. Dre) 187um Killa, which landed at #1 on the Billboard Top R&B Albums chart for the week ending November 6, 1993. The chart data, compiled via SoundScan, confirms the EP’s impact in the R&B market despite being a hardcore West Coast rap release—an unusual crossover that underscored Eazy’s wide cultural reach and strategic timing during his feud with Dr. Dre.

This record was Eazy-E’s final release during his lifetime and includes diss tracks such as “Real Muthaphuckkin G’s,” targeting his former N.W.A bandmate. DJ Yella, who had maintained ties with Eazy even after N.W.A’s breakup, played a key behind-the-scenes role in its production, which this commemorative item acknowledges.
